"Sonograms are creepy. Plus, I'd feel weird."
"You would feel weird?! At least you would be showing up as the dad..."
"But nobody's gonna know why you're there. You're not even showing yet. Why can't Frazier do this thing, anyway?"
"You know what, if you don't want to come, don't come."
"No! I do want to come. But sonograms are creepy. Plus, how are they gonna insert the wand for the transvaginal views, anyway?"
"The what?"
"See you later? About 1400?"
"The wand?"
Daniel heard Jack snickering as he walked away. Fucking indignities of pregnancy. Damned if he was doing this again. Jack could have the next one.

Date: 2006-04-25 02:09 am (UTC)Last year, I was having irregular periods, so I went to my doctor and he ordered a sonogram for me. I had to go to another office to get it done the next day. When I got there, the nurse had me take off my pants and panties. I'm looking at her like she's lost her mind because I've had sonograms before and I've never had to do more than unzip my pants and pull them down below my waist.
Anywho...I don't feel like argueing with the woman so I do as she says and I hop on the table. She asks me if I've ever had a sonogram done before (I guess the expression on my face spoke volumes) and I told her, yes! Several.
Next thing I know, she's got my laying back with my legs on stirrups and she's holding this gigantimous dildo looking thing complete with humoungoid condom on it and she just sticks it up there and I go Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!!
I never had one of THOSE sonograms done before. lol!

Eh. I didn't have a sonogram for my first pregnancy, and after something that big has come down the pipes, the wand was a dawdle. :D
