For the 2009 J/D Ficathon this year I got [profile] prehistoric_sea, who prompted as follows:

    Two (2) Requirements:
    1. porn
    2. emotional complexity
    Optional Request: two options:
    1) It’s a trope of early SG-1 slash that Daniel is locked in the closet (often by Jack), barefoot, and weeping. Write an intelligent, contemporary take on this trope. Something real, if not realistic, fresh if not new.
    2) Daniel assumed Jack knew he was transgender (FtM)--wouldn't something like that be in his file? Now that they've had a disastrous, mutually humiliating hook-up, can they put it behind them and have the relationship they both want--because the attraction isn't going anywhere.
    Restriction #1: character-bashing
    Restriction #2: too-perfect sex

Well, I've sort of done optional request 1 before: Possession.

So.

The second optional request. Hmmmmm. Strangely FTM Daniel started speaking to me. So.

Written for the 2008 J/D Ficathon.

I am writing for the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] lokei. She requested:

    Two (2) Requirements:
    1. first time
    2. Jack or Daniel reading aloud
Optional Request: I like early seasons better, AU's can be fun, happy endings (or at least hopeful ones) are the best. I please easily. *grin*
    Restriction #1: no mpreg
    Restriction #2: no non-con

[The last two restrictions actually being somewhat important since she got me as a writer! :) ]

[livejournal.com profile] lokei gave me a beautiful Jack with wings, so I was especially happy to be able to do something nice for her. [livejournal.com profile] lokei, I hope you like it!

Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tejas, [livejournal.com profile] avidrosette, and [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl, who helped me with ideas about what Jack and Daniel might be reading to each other. You are all fantastic, and prizes must be written. Yes. They must.

And happy belated birthday to Daniel Jackson. Next year, the due date for the ficathon should be his birthday! :D

For [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl, who said, in response to my worldle meme:

Jack and Daniel go on vacation to Australia, but some of the issues in their relationship crop up between the sunning and the sex--like Daniel's frustration with a certain Asgard's fascination with Jack.

The requisite white light flashed, and Jack found himself back in their hotel room.

Daniel looked up over the top of his beach reading (The Informers).

"Sent you back to put on some clothes, hmmmm?" Daniel asked acidly.

Jack looked down at his swim trunks and flip flops.

"Not exactly," Jack muttered, stomping into the bathroom to peel out of the sandy beachwear and step into the shower. Daniel followed him, watching from the doorway.

"So, what? You solved his replicator problem half naked in flimsy shoes, or whatever?"

Jack's sigh would be covered by the sound of the water.

"Daniel, we've been over this. Thor doesn't have a 'thing' for me."

Daniel wouldn’t be able to see the air quotes through the shower curtain, either.

"Of course not," Daniel replied.

Jack knocked his forehead against the cool tile.

Australia. He had brought Daniel to freakin' Australia to get into his pants. And now it looked like a night on the couch instead.

"Thor, you jealous little bastard," he muttered under his breath.

"I heard that, O'Neill," came a funny, squeaky voice from beyond the shower curtain.

Jack whipped the curtain open to find Daniel, stark naked outside, grinning unapologetically.

"Room for me in there?" Daniel asked sweetly.

For [livejournal.com profile] melayneseahawk, who said, in response to my worldle meme:

#2: Daniel, Jack, and the Vampire Mummy

The requisite white light flashed, and Jack found himself standing in a dank room, eerily lit in phosphorescent green. As he turned swiftly, he found that Daniel was standing behind him, and had already identified the threat.

"What the hell is that?" Jack murmured into Daniel's ear.

"Uh." Daniel replied stupidly.

"Daniel, it's your damned childhood nightmare. What the hell is it?"

"Um," Daniel replied. "Um. Vampire mummy?"

"Oh, fercryinoutloud," Jack muttered.

"Run!" Daniel yelled, and they took off down the corridor.

Rodney stumbled backwards and would have fallen if not for the chair Radek deftly kicked over. It rolled to a stop at the perfect spot, catching him before he could go down on his ass.

Kermit was pounding away at the environmental controls station. Gonzo was hanging from the top of the white board, writing like mad (though all of the "equations" were completely nonsensical).

And Mrs. Piggy was sidling up to Sheppard, crowding his personal space and sniffing his forearm.

"Really, it has been quite an amusing morning," Radek commented blandly, continuing to review his most recent simulation results as if nothing were out of the ordinary.
