I am playing with some ideas about a piece where Daniel is recovered by the SGC after a long isolation. The idea that has been going through my head most is capture by a goa'uld. But I thought of a semi-ascension like Orlin's - isolated, or maybe stuck on Abydos, though the Abydos solution is at odds with canon, so it would have to be a slight AU scenario, probably. Or descended, but that happened in canon, so maybe descended in isolation, but with his memories intact? I also thought about a continuation of Willful (too lazy to do the double link edit - just go to my index page in whatever journal system your reading this), but from Daniel's POV, maybe starting with his departure form Iya's laboratory?

Anyway, am thinking these thoughts and wondered if anybody out there had any ideas I should put into play. Wanna give me some prompts? Alas, RL is eating every spare moment I have - I guess meaning I HAVE no spare moments - and I haven't written one word in about two weeks, and before that just got in a few scribbles in doctor's waiting rooms for about two weeks prior. So. No promises any of the prompts offered will be turned into anything. But hopefully they will!

So after all the chatter yesterday, I hit on what I believe to be exactly the perfect scenario for my wandering thought processes. Fits in canon at an appropriate spot for the level of relationship I want them to have before Daniel gets lost. Gives Daniel an appropriate period of separation. Now all I have to do is decide how far along I want them to be in their developing est rel before the separation. It was unwinding in my head this morning, though. Does that happen to you, too? When a story clicks, does your Brain start to play it out for you almost on it's own?
