Hmmmmm.

I wonder if this is too bad?

I was thinking that I was close to the end of the genderbender. Then I thought, hey, Daniel really needs to have one real date.

So then I thought, eh, what a lot of work. Gotta come up with an OMC.

Then I thought about this

Daniel realized the man was waiting for him to say something, but he had gotten lost in his delicious accent, which if Daniel remembered from his study in the UK was all Yorkshire. He smiled in embarrassment to be caught daydreaming.

"No, it's OK. I've just got a couple of things, then I can get out of your hair."

"Or maybe you'd like to join me?" It was his turn to look embarrassed. Daniel was a little startled by the invitation. One of the things he had realized early on about this bookshop was that he felt completely Daniel here. The sudden reminder that he wasn't who he thought he was could be jarring.

But the idea sounded really good, actually. Why not? The guy was undeniably attractive, he had a great voice, and he must like books, to work in a place like this.

"Sounds nice," Daniel said with a smile. He held out his hand. "Dan—Dani," he managed.

The answering smile was nothing short of dazzling.

"Sean," he replied, taking Daniel's hand in a firm grip.

Is that cheating? Alternatively, is it far, far too distracting? No, not distracting that way. Distracting in a bad way?

And we will be blaming this little derailment on the lovely [livejournal.com profile] uisgich's natal celebration today. She's 27. Last year, I wrote this for her. But this year, I was a terrible bad friend, and I got nuthin'. Not even the end of the elf!Jack story.

So. Daniel/Beanie. But I'm only planning for it to be an aborted lunch date. *ponders* Will I need to do an AU, where they go back to the private back room of the bookstore for an afternoon of cherry picking? Would that make an acceptable, if belated, present.

Heh. You know Daniel's not staying a girl. Should lunch be aborted because Sean's into guys, and the AU can be set after Daniel switches back?

Which do you prefer, Birthday Girl? Girl!Daniel or Boy!Daniel?

And while I'm letting the train go down this track - no reason Viggo couldn't be in town...

And where would Jack fit in? Hmmmmm. Sean/girl!Daniel/Jack? With Teal'c/Viggo on the side?

Holy Hannah! I seem to be having a massive pervert attack right!

TOO MANY CHOICES!

Sean/girl!Danie/Jack sounds pretty. Teal'c Dave Viggo is difficult for me to mentally conjure. Which means you need to teach me how it looks. ;)

OMG, what wouldn't I give for Viggo to run into Sam while he's in town and confuse her with his flaky, poet-y ways?! Yes... Viggo's doing some poet in residence thing in CS so that's why he and Sean are hanging bout the bookstore. They cross paths with SG-1 a few times. Girl!Daniel gets a little crush on Sean but after he becomes boy!Daniel has a very detailed wet dream.

*pants at the thought*
