Please do not read until you have finished Part 10. Huge, gigantic, hideous spoilers!!!!

There seems to be a small amount of confusion among readers of Part 10 about what General Hammond does and doesn't "know" about Jack and Daniel and what there really is to know.

Teal'c is making it all up about the "relationship" underlying the rumors and innuendo.

That's part of the reason Daniel's so embarrassed. He was partially shocked to hear how people veiwed him and Jack (not like somebody's gonna come up and *tell* him) and horrified that Teal'c would actually put it forward as true.

I now am concerned I communicated this badly...

Hammond and Sam both understand that Teal'c is building an excuse for Hammond to not have to break up the team.

Kind of a backwards one.

They've had a realtionship for ages, and everything's OK!

And Hammond can go for that because he understands the underlying truth is that Jack and Daniel probably have been falling for each other for as long as Teal'c says and the impact does seem to have been minimal.

He's willing to take Teal'c's point and see how things pan out moving forward...

I got it, hon. When you wrote the first few chapters, it was obvious that this was a Jack and Daniel that had never acted on their 'apparent' feelings.

As I indicated, I LOVED that Teal'c would do that, as in LIE, for the team and the boys!
