I am working on the layout. I think the colors are a little strong, though much more readable than they were before. Am thinking of going to a more sedate cream with navy blue text.

That said, how does this layout fit on your montiors? Particularly interested in feedback from [livejournal.com profile] alpha_strike, as it was giving him quite a bit of trouble earlier. I really don't want the text overlapping the photos, as I have a terrible time with that, and have scrapped v. interesting layouts over a [livejournal.com profile] muck_a_luck specifically because transparent entry fields over photos were too hard to read.

You're entirely neon on my screen with colors bold and clashing. And I keep my screen dark. Gonna need to wear shades if you keep the font colors this way. B) I'd probably reverse your cream/blue, as I find darker backgrounds with lighter fonts easier to read in general. But I'm also light-sensitive, so I'm biased.

As for the layout fit, I suppose it's fine, depending on what you want. I'm helpful, no? *grins* When I maximize the brower (which is how I keep it at home), I have a block of images surrounded by the background color. It all depends on what makes you happy, sweetness. :)

I want simple, because complex is too hard for me to read. And I want high contrast in the text, but you're right. Currently a little high voltage.

Simple is good. I'd probably still go with the darker navy background with cream text though. Yes, I am light sensitive as I said before and therefore it's easier on my eyes, but that's not the point. The image block you have will blend in more easily with the dark background and it will be a smoother layout. And bright yellow on cream makes me head hurt. >_< You might be able to tone the cream down a bit...I have a couple pages of color codes bookmarked if you want a softer shade.

Hmmm...just maxed my screen. At full view, it's a little better, because the navy text doesn't overlap the dark block image, which stays firmly on its side of the screen. The yellow on cream is still evil though. And you like tabular indent? o_O

Still working on the colors. But yes, goal is to not have the navy text overlap the frame of the pictures. You were still have trouble with that? Hmmmmm.

Have not yet experimented with other layouts besides tabular indent.

Liking the idea of having a rotation of pictures to go on the left.
