One Epic Rec, and One Silly One

Without Irony, part one of the W.I.P.E. Series, apparently. Beware, 58k. Revolves around the fallout of Civil War, and plays with the possible repercussions of Extremis. Tony can't live with what happened, and when he wipes his brain to save the database, he builds in software as part of the reboot that prevents him from remembering Steve's death. It also deletes "contradictory data" and Steve being alive causes it to go break down, until it's randomly deleting memories. There are a lot of issues here, mainly related to the nature of self. Steve thinks erased Tony is still Tony, Tony thinks erased Tony is another entity. I find it particularly interesting how even without his memories, Tony is still fighting with himself.

Also, a silly rec. Truth. Steve takes truth serum and cannot stop talking. The reason to read this is not for all the honest, embarrassing, sappy, sexy things Tony gets him to say about their relationship and sex life, though there fun there, too, but rather for all the horribly honest things he says to and about other people in the mansion. Like pregnant Jess and her unborn child. :D
