Ficathon piece done

Finished my J/D ficathon piece. Anybody dying to beta? No biggie, I was mostly planning to post un-beta'd. *iz bad* It still needs an ending - like the last sentence or so. Hopefully that will come to me after I do my own edit later today or tomorrow.

I'd be very happy to beta, as long as you know this: I do not write fiction myself, and I have only ever beta'd two fics (but both authors were pleased with the beta). I have, however, worked professionally as a copy-editor and proofreader (on a specialist nonfiction journal), so am used to the process. Just tell me exactly what type of beta you like, and I'd be happy to have a go.

On the other hand, if the above paragraph makes you go Nooooooo! and clutch your fic to your chest at the idea of having such an untried person seeing it - well, I completely understand!

A good beta is a joy! Writers need editors, it's a proven fact. Look at Stephen King, and Laurel K. Hamilton. Two writers in dire need of editing if there ever were some. :p
