Anybody have any idea why there's been a sudden surge in people reading Arena? I think it has had half a dozen visitors over the last several days, cruising through many chapters at a time.

It's kinda neat!

And one of the people reading it hopped over to some Stargate stuff afterwards. Also neat.

Oh. And here's the word, for now. Not hopping to GreatestJournal, because LJToys doesn't give complete info on GreatestJournal activity. I'm vain enough that I don't want to lose my LJToys feedback, and too cheap to pay for LJToys, which costs more than twice as much annually as an LJ account with all the bells and whistles.

So.

However, this new transaction transferring LJ to a new owner. I had already come to my Toys decision this morning when I read that news. *sigh*

Arena is probably done. I haven't written LOTR_RPS in ages. Those characters never visit my head any more. The VM/OB section was only partially formed and would need a LOT of work. The SB/EW section had about 7 different variants, and they were all the worst kind of bad!fic, so that would need a lot of work, too. And my idea for a DW/EB/KU section, while about as partially formed as the VM/OB section, was also very unconvincing to me as I don't really do the fandom for any of those actors.

BUT! If it ever starts getting written, it'll be right here! And I'll certainly announce it in appropriate fora. :D

If LJ Toys gave a referring URL I'd probably upgrade to paid, even though, as you said, the cost is pretty ridiculous.

I get a constant trickle, which occasionally swells to a flow, of readers to my first Harry Potter story -- the funny squidfic? I'd kill to know where they're coming from, a year and a half after it was posted. And it'd be nice if one or two of them left comments, too. [wry smile]

I am not getting up in arms about the new owner stuff yet. Besides, at this point, they'd have to do something spectacularly stupid to be worse than 6A. I'll worry when it looks like that's going to happen.
