The (slightly Harper-centric) Sharpe Drinking Game

Some of my favorites:

If Sharpe "strikes a pose" drink once.
If his arse looks particularly good while he strikes the pose, drink twice.

Drink when you see the Seven Barrelled Rifle of Manliness.
Two drinks if Harper shoots someone with it.
Three drinks if someone tries to take it away from Harper.
Four drinks when he gets it back.


Whenever someone says "Damn your impudence, sir," take a shot. Try yelling it at the next person who annoys you. Points for excess spit.

If you really feel like getting drunk, drink every time Harper says "so it is". Imagine you have a burly Irish boyfriend.

I made my first post to the list about this one.

I couldn't figure out what I wasn't getting. So I said, "To paraphrase Edwina Monsoon, is there some kinky significance I'm missing here?"

As it happens, apparently certain gossip groups - chat, list whatever, thought that the boys were sending each other slashy messages by means of what they were wearing to public events.

However, certain other factions in these groups thought that the boys, for their own amusment, were starting the rumors, then wearing cloths to match! *snortle*

Also, Miss Pinkie is the person widely believed to be the boys in disguise.

So anyway, that's the missing piece to what this story is supposed to mean.

I have mixed emotions about rec'ing this one.

I read this story ages ago, and I still think about it often. The denial then the sex are well done. I'd say the last third of it is some of the best stuff out there.

However, it is incredibly, horribly too long. It could probably have been halved by a good editor.

Still, pure gold from the time Karl returns to the beach.

And, ha! Another random pairing. Karl Urban/Billy Boyd. Summary: Karl is the most irritating person Billy knows. They end up spending the day boating. The inevitable occurs, as this is slash, after all. :)
