Unending definitely prodded the part of the Brain where the stranded plot lives. I have been thinking bits and pieces from it. But I don't want to think those thoughts yet, or I'll lose them. I don't have time to write them.

And thinking about the stranded thing always makes me think about babies which makes me want to work more on [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl's epic MPREG. I have had several new thoughts about it, and I need to get them down in electrons eventually, too. That piece is very important to me, as it is an homage to Little Sister and this past year of new motherhood. I want to get some of these things written so I will have them. Then maybe little Claire can grow up with Little Sister.

In the meantime, I am trying to get my remix finished, so I can go back and make some edits that came to mind after I got [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl's comments on my ficathon piece.

But I was actually falling asleep while remixing a few minutes ago. That seems like a clear indication that sleep is the better part of valor at this point.

Dang brain sucking new job! Or brain cramming! Interfering with pr0n production!

Our heat indexes have been aroudn 100 the last couple of days, though our actual temps have only been in the low 90s. Also, big storms this afternoon followed by a high of 78 tomorrow. What the heck? It's Virginia in (almost) July! It's not supposed to be 78!

Here's hoping for your monsoons. Unreasonably hot, and not in a good way. On the other hand, that's what you get for living in the desert. Rather than the dessert. Hmmmmmm.

How far is your walk to work, anyway. I used to LOVE walking to work. I even more loved living in the same building where I worked, though that could sometimes be a little intense.

Ah, yes, the DC area -- home of heat + humidity! I do love the desert, because the dry heat really isn't so bad. But walking home in it at 3 pm every day is a little nuts. I might switch to the bus for afternoons. It feels a little silly taking the bus, though, because it's only a mile! Walking at a reasonable pace (because of the heat) and stopping for the lights, it takes 20 minutes.

I've been de facto living in the building I work in -- hah! But I can see the advantage of having a separate office to mini-commute to in the same building. I think that one day when I'm rich instead of famous I'll build my dream adobe house on the back of my lot and turn this house into office only.
