I stumbled upon a perfectly innocent, completely private discussion in someone's journal this morning.
burningchaos was waxing on about how HOT Sean Bean is, you know, as one is wont to do while watching yet another hideous, disaster of a movie just because Beanie is in it.
And one of her friends berated her because, well, Beanie is CLEARLY NOT AS HOT AS DAVID HEWLETT.
My shocked and flabbergasted reaction to that aside (and I *certainly* mean no offence to Mr. Hewlett, who is a adorable, sort of like Quentin Tarantino's cuter brother), I have an urge to write some sort of insane Sharpe/Atlantis crossover now.
If the Brain won't let it go, there will be whining. Possibly loud squawking as well.
*shakes fist at random fangirls being random*

Y'see, some fangirls are adversely affected by the fumes given off when a computer has been on and overheated for too long (which can be caused by piling too many objects -- such as stacks of paper print-outs of pics and porn for example -- around the air vents of the CPU) and these subtle signs of the onset of dementia (i.e., the belief that a dorky little geek-bag can actually be hotter than Sean Bean in his Sharpe outfit) mean that said fangirl needs to back away from the computer as quickly as possible and get some fresh air. Watching more episodes of Sharpe in a well-ventilated room will do the trick. :D
Seriously, I like Rodney too but it's because of his attitude and his quirks (OMG Citrus!!! [flail]) coupled with his intelligence (I've always had a kink for brains -- I wanted to have MacGyver's children, seriously) rather than for his looks per se. He's certainly not an ugly man, he doesn't need a bag over his head or anything, but if his character had an average IQ and were just sort of quietly nice I doubt most of Rodney's fangirls would be Rodney fangirls.
But whatever, this chick definitely needs a time-out, LOL!
