I don't typically do lyric fic, because mostly it irritates the s*** out of me when other people do it.

However, in addtion to my official SB/Vm song - Never Too Close, by Gordon Lightfoot, I now have a JO/DJ *album* - Faith, George Michael.

Apropos of nothing...

I'm another who loathes songfics just sort of on principle. I can think of like three or four writers who could get me to even click on the link for a songfic and try it. Or maybe a heck of a rec...? [ponder] The only one I ever liked was a Harry Potter story which wasn't really a songfic -- it was a longer story which included some song lyrics (they were doing karaoke at the Hogwarts graduation party [giggling facepalm]) which makes a fairly huge difference.

I'll fight to protect the right of other writers to do songfics if they want to, but I don't want to read 'em. [wry smile]
