It's funny how this whole writing gig goes, isn't it?

After months of no problems with Adjustments, I hit a wall this week. I think it needs a rest.

Meanwhile, the thing for the Jack/Daniel Ficathon just exploded practically fully drafted over the last 24 hours or so. I think I've even figured out how to make it work in a sort of unique way, which I was almost certain was completely impossible when I first got the assignment.

Anyway, writing is weird.

I think there is a special ficathon pheremone in the air, as I know at least four of us have all but finished our assignments today. (Unless, of course, I need to severely rewrite, which I wouldn't rule out.) Considering deadline is a month away, that's, like, woah!

Cool for uniqueness, as your assignment is somewhat cliche! (Me, on the other hand -- I went straight for the trope. Oy!)

Especially considering how much you have read in this fandom, it's got to be *particularly* hard to do your's uniquely. That one has been DONE TO DEATH. Though for good reasons. Cause how do you make the clueless stright boys notice each other?

I started a whole separate story, but when I realized it wasn't going to work for the assignment, I decided to haul out the one MALINGERING on my hard drive, which is EXACTLY the prompt. It's just embarrassing that I got bit by that cliche bunny five months ago...

And don't tell me yours hasn't been done to death. It just hasn't been done by you, and you have such a delightfully unique flavor. *slurp*
