The news, such as it is
May. 16th, 2006 07:40 amStill carrying around the symbiote in the old pouch. :)
I am toying with my Jack/Daniel Ficathon assignment. I'm trying to figure out a way to do it without being completely and utterly derivative. It's gonna be a major cliche fic and the idea's been done to death and quite prominently. It's a challenge.
I figure in the worst case scenario, I do a "this is so derivative" type disclaimer, apologize to the universe, and get on with it.
In other exciting thrilling shocking writing news, I have received a nomination over at The Stargate Fan Awards. Interestingly, they sent me a sort of warning e-mail first, with no specific content. A heads up, I guess. So I don't know what story yet. But still, very exciting. It looks like no matter when they get back to me, combined with no matter when I am in the hospital, I should be able to meet their participation deadlines.
I have two different parts of Adjustments in play at the moment. Both are making me very happy. I plan to take lots of notepads to the hospital for purposes of writing longhand, though I am also taking Sharpe's Tiger with me, so perhaps we will see the reanimation of Sharpe/Aragorn. That would be fun. :)
UPDATE: Note to self - don't forget that this journal defaults to private posts. If you want people to read it, you have to unlock it. *facepalm*

in sum, Yay!
Date: 2006-05-16 03:44 pm (UTC)I got way into an interesting ficathon bunny for mine, then realized I couldn't do it without violating a restriction, so I'm going to finish it up just for me. For the 'thon I'm going to bite the bullet and pull out that 15K word thing I sent you a while back that I was miserable with and do a rewrite. It happens to fit the request exactly. *sigh* (Was worried about the etiquette of not writing something from scratch, but
I'm not shocked you got an SFA nom. *fidget* *distracting handwave* But I am that I did!
Yay for writing Adjustments! Yay for writing Sharpe/Aragorn! You'd go nuts in the hospital if you didn't have writing paper -- good call!
