I was trying to figure out where they were driving to and from in the amnesia!fic. I said Sam and Jack went about 10 hours from Colorado Springs to find Daniel in a small university town. Then they drove back in two drives, but not directly toward Colorado Springs, because they were trying to avoid the NID. But then I said Sam was going to go west back to Colorado Springs while the boys went north to some unidentified destination. This suggests that Sam and Jack went about 10 hours southeast of Colorado Springs. Which put them smack dab in the middle of freakin' Texas.

This would have been so much easier to write realistically if the SGC were in my neck of the woods.

So Lord knows what little university town would have hired Daniel in the middle of Texas. Well, probably plenty of Texans know. I'm figuring they drove in two short days from Texas to Kansas, then Daniel and Jack will do a long day from Kansas to Montana. That looks doable per the map and Mapquest.

Ew. Kansas. I got a very bad impression of Kansas when I was there. If I were Dorothy, I would have stayed in Oz. But to be fair I drove through Kansas in February in an ice storm. I imagine no state looks good on a day like that.

Anyway, if I had really planned, I would have had Sam and Jack go south west. I know there's lots of weird little colleges in Arizona, and probably also in CA. Oh, well.

SO wait, the story is continuing? Like there will be more parts and I don't have to keep rereading the previous 3 sections? Don't play with me this way. Just tell me. I can take it. Will you continue with this fic?

Pretty please? Cause I'm lovin' the Daniel/Jack interaction and I really like Sam's attitude. Not that I don't like her but I just like how you are writing her.

Yes. Definitely one more part for 100% sure. And I am pretty sure two more chapters after that. And before I quit, there MUST be an NC-17 chapter. Right?

I'm just writing incredibly slowly at the moment. I'm coming up on six months pregnant and we are moving in a week and RL and blah blah. But have been trying to put in a few minutes a day anyway. And a friend has set me a deadline of Tuesday morning for some new porn, so I'm hopeful...

Anyway, Daniel has just woken up agian, read his journal, is completely mortified at what a slut he has become, and now gets to be all alone with Jack til Sam comes back with Teal'c. Yay? :)

Holy Hannah! Six month pregnant and still writing? I'm more than impressed. And now I completely understand where the new chapters have gone. Of course I'm also uber chipper with the idea of an NC-17 chapter and a bashful Daniel to look forward to.

I know! I was thinking yesterday, "Why didn't I just make them go visit green_grrl?! Such a missed opportunity! But the where really didn't matter to the story that much, til I wanted them to have to drive a hideous distance and end up in some woods. I didn't want to sound like a total idiot to the locals.

Especially because I was thinking about my "Snow" story last night and I plan to make up a bunch of total bull hockey about being a teenager in Minnesota... :)
