I had watched through about S3 or S4 when I was writing these. They were my first Stargate pieces, and they reflect what I think about Jack and Daniel on the show. No matter how obvious it is that they are madly, head over heels for each other, they would never get together. Too many other priorities more important to both of them.
I still feel that way about them. Aliens made them do it is sometimes a way around it. And also, I've just loosened up a little because it's so fun to write them as lovers. But it's pretty doubtful that this will ever be really "fixed," even if they do move along and eventually have sex.
Ha! My vision of Jack and Daniel! Angsty, starcrossed lovers! Who would have guessed? :D
