Isn't it great when you are already writing a story, then you think, I wonder if this would fit into canon timeline like *this?* Then you check and the order of the episodes that you only vaguely remember actually turns out to be perfect?

So. In Hathor, Jack gets healed by the sarcophagus after Hathor opens up his abdomen to put a snakelet in there.

My question. If she had actully made him into her First Prime, and other people in the SGC into Jaffa, what would happen if those people removed their larval goa'uld at some much later date, then jumped in the sarcophagus? Do we think it would recognize their current condition as a wound that needed healing? After all, Jaffa are apparently born different. They must be given a primta at adolesence or they will die. So their symbiotic relationship is genetically correct for them. But not for the humans of the SGC.

My other question. Would it be more interesting if they stayed Jaffa?

I think you are wide open in how you want to approach this.

Maybe the original creation of the Jaffa was indeed done with that very device; and she was the author of them. After all, she was Hathor, consort of Ra -- the original Mother figure in the Egyptian pantheon (or one of them, at least... I think there was Nut and maybe a Chaos type figure that might have preceded Hathor).... so the condition would only be recognized by a sarcophagus as normal in the second generation.

Maybe all the first-generation Jaffa, like Jack, would have been changeable back into humans from Jaffa by a sarcophagus. Or maybe the catch is when you get your larval gouald... maybe that works with the Hathor device to alter your DNA or something.

You can do whatever you want with this, imho. Canon never elaborated on it or followed it up in any way -- and the "Jaffa" in the MOVIE did not have the marks of a symbiote pouch. I think the whole Jaffa thing was created in the series, to begin with. New canon.

Can't wait to see what you do with this. I have been nagging stranger to finish her Hathor aftermath AU... much fascinating stuff there.
