"Stinkin' Valentine's Day," Jack muttered to himself.
"Sir?" asked Carter from across the ready room.
"Nothin', Carter. Got any plans for tonight?"
"Um..." She got a shifty, guilty look.
"Oh, for cryin' out loud," he scowled. "Just promise me there will not be a giant wrench involved."
The guilty look just got guiltier.
"Gotta go," she said. He saluted her absent-mindedly.
"So what's so wrong with Valentine's Day," came Daniel's voice from around the corner to the showers. His tone was light, dry, amused.
Half-way through putting on his jacket, Jack dropped the leather back into his locker and peered into the tiled room.
Daniel. Naked. Holding strawberry shampoo enticingly in one hand. Carter's strawberry shampoo.
"Um..." said Jack. Daniel just reached out and turned on the hot water.
