[livejournal.com profile] abundantlyqueer is a genius.

I rec'd one of her things last night, the definitive OB/EW first time story, "See Under Clue, Getting a."

She just finished one of the most original things I have ever read in fandom.

Warnings are posted for each part. She's not kidding. But this story is worth reading past every warning. Absolutely amazing. One of the few times I'll ever rec you anything with character death or real non-con/rape in it.

Na Goshi
Part I: The Lotus
Part II: The Narrow Path
Part III: Nogitsune
Part IV: The Ten Thousand Things
Part V: Mara
Part VI: The Floating World
Part VII: The Demon's Daughters
Part VIII: The Shade of the Bodhi Tree
Part IX: A Koan of the Bodhisattva Lotus Eyes
Part X: The Thread Breaks
Part XI: Buddha Heart, Warrior Soul

A wonderful person has done an index of [livejournal.com profile] abundantlyqueer's stuff.

I've already rec'd Clue and Na Goshi.

Also of note is Mardi Gras.

Please be aware, she really, really seems to dislike Viggo. But it's fun what she does with him sometimes, particularly Mardi Gras. He's awesome. And delightfully ewww. :)

For some REALLY HOT SB/OB action, try Off The Ropes, Chapter 10, which can be read as a stand-alone without really knowing what is going on in the rest of the story (Heh. That's how I read it!)

Sniper Sight is really, really good, too.

Also fun, Gauntlet. A ficlet only, be warned. :)

Last one for today, I promise! :)

This is an FPS author.

Bill The Pony

Bill writes some very nice pre-quest, including a long, sometimes boring, sometimes really good series called "The Making of Samwise Gamgee."

My favorites are:

Upon This Hither Shore- the last Ringbearer leaves Middle Earth. (S)

Ringspell - warning for non-con (F/A)

Foolish Games - pure, fluffy porn goodness (S/F/M/P)

Dear [livejournal.com profile] wyldestarr's mysterious Sister...

Mirrormere - The archive site of teh Yahoo group LOTR_RPS. Excellent, deep, the most important RPS resource out there, but hate their navigation.

The Library of Moria - One of the most important FPS sites.

Green Opals - Sean Bean archive. If you haven't been, you must go.

Rugbytackling - the archive of [livejournal.com profile] rugbytackle.

And of course, for casual reading:
[livejournal.com profile] rugbytackle
[livejournal.com profile] fellow_shippers

There are certainly loads of others, but if you have these, you've got loads of reading to keep you busy.

If it is helpful, I am updating my recommendations here. And am in the process of moving all my recommendations from my RL journal, so if you watch here, there will be many more updated recs over the next few weeks.

Kind regards,
CK

Before I was so easily distracted by Bill and AQ, I was working on my [livejournal.com profile] dork_elf recs. :)

The other Dork Elf must read is Vellicating. Freak her out again. Be sure to comment. :)

Her fiction journal is located at [livejournal.com profile] keepy_uppy. As you might be able to guess from the name, she now mostly writes footie!slash. I posted a link to The Long Term Benefits of Potassium, and that is actually the first chapter of a Ruud/Gaby WIP. All of it is really good. She also writes yummy Savage/Bellers, and has branched out into some other pairs.

While I'm at it, if I haven't already, I want to suggest that you friend [livejournal.com profile] footballslash, if not for the fiction, of which there is plenty, then for the amazing pic!spams of pretty, pretty footie players. *drools*
