REC: Billy's Head is Pasted On; A Sudden Case of Slash

:) I picked up the link to Billy's Head is Pasted On from lotrips_finders this morning. A great community to either ferret out something you've lost or to just pick up fun new material. If somebody else is desparate to find it again, then there's a good chance it's worth reading yourself. Not always, but a lot of the time.

I don't usually like fiction and movies that are self-aware. But sometimes, it really works. In this story, Billy is brooding about LOTR RPS. V. funny.

Another one where the concept really works is A Sudden Case of Slash

Poor Liv. Her friend shows her slash on the internet. Liv reads all night, morbidly fascinated.

Her next outing with the hobbitsnorli freaks her out.

My favorite line, "That's how you know it's fiction," Marie reasoned, turning the page in her book. "If Orli were really turning tricks, it'd take him about one night to make more than they're paying him for that pirate movie."

*snortle*

REC: Lie and Lay: Better Grammar Through Pornography

Now I went into muck_a_luck's memories and I'll be rec'ing things all morning. *sigh*

I do have trouble with transitive and intransitive in English. Do used to do much better in Russian.

CK putters about her virtual space, checking her friends page, surfing muck_a_luck's memories, making story recommendations in brainofck. Snickering at Billy and Liv and enjoying Sam's grammar lesson.

Then, suddenly and quite unexpectedly, something triggers it.

The sadness. The melancholy.

The irritation.

For no apparent reason, she grumbles, "Brain O'Fuck!" She sighs deeply, a frustrated scowl crossing her face, to be replaced by a somewhat rueful smile. "Dammit," she says, without much conviction.

"Brain of CK, people," she mutters to herself, "Brain of CK."

She sighs and shakes her head again. Glares at the cat on the modem for good measure. And clicks Update.

And for more SB/OB angst, as well as some really, really hot EW/KU and (I think) DM/BB, this is an incredibly long one mixing two, or possibly three stories that I thought were separate. The SB/OB part I was remembering is >this chapter. But the whole thing is Predators.
