Clone!Jack all grown up meets Daniel in a library.

The story was pretty good actually. Fraught. Emotionally tense.

But read it for the epilogue.

This really seems like Jack and Daniel to me. That's why it hurts so much. I'm sure I've said to you before that slashy canon notwithstanding, I don't really think they are a couple on the show. They're friends with potential that will never be realized, is how I see them. And this plays so perfectly to that.
