Daniel slipped his fingers under the tape and pulled the wrapping off the box. He lifted the lid and folded back the tissue paper.

He dropped it back onto the table, feeling a little faint.

Teal'c gently lifted the fabric from the box.

"He seems to have confused you with Major Carter," Teal'c said solemnly. He shook out the folds and held out a delicate cotton sundress. White with an all over pattern of twining ivy and roses. It had broad straps that would fall to cap his shoulders. The cut of the bust looked modest, low enough to show some skin, but probably no cleavage, with a scalloped neckline to emphasize the curves but reveal little. The bodice was princess seamed and the skirt was full.

"He's a fucking idiot, if he thinks I'm putting that on," Daniel muttered. He finally pulled the card from his pocket and stared at it hard before taking a deep breath and flipping it open.

Of course I did it. Because it really had to be done. Now I just need inspiration on what the card should say.

I should write a little side piece where teenaged!you and cheerleader!Daniel go to the same party wearing the same dress. Or perhaps a summer wedding...

:P

Only if you think cheerleader!Daniel and I would sneak away from said wedding and get stoned, then do shotguns with the joint and actually sort of make out, then have to try to maintain in front of the grownups and not scarf down too many pieces of wedding cake because we have the munchies. (Uh, did I just reveal too much about my teenage years?)

*snert*

I was SOOOOOOOO dull compared to EVERYONE. However, you sound like you were a challenging child. Lord, please protect me from challenging children.

Alas, cheerleader!Daniel appears to be straight. More's the pity.

Actually, I was ridiculously well behaved, honor roll and alla that. OK, so I experimented with drinking, drugs and smooching, but I never ended up pregnant, in jail or dead, so my parents counted themselves lucky/successful. Of course they didn't know a fraction of what I got up to and that's all for the best. I counted it all as learning experience, and am terribly dull now. :-)

So sad for teenage!Lisa. So good for Jack. ;-)
