Another attempt to crosspost after changing the settings on my LJ journal.



When he woke up again they were burning him. He screamed and tried to writhe away from the heat, but it was impossible. His arms and legs were immobile. His eyes were blind in the searing, painful light. His tongue was swollen. He felt the course, dry, hot, sandy dirt grinding into his cracking, breaking, frying skin. His skin was pulling in on itself, stretching and breaking. He screamed and screamed and screamed, even as he heard his screams died to whispers died to nothing in the horrible, horrible light.
