On the way home, I figured out what's gonna happen when Daniel turns back into a man. We might have things for SG-5 to do after all.

I also deliberately contemplated an unhappy ending. Hmmmmm. Because that seems to me to be where this thing is logically heading.

But it's so not *me.*

Sounds particularly right and true to me because I buy into Jack being RDA's age, and Daniel being MS's age, which would give them the 21-year age difference of the actors (which shows more and more, not to be mean), rather than the roughly ten years that canon tries to set up. With that big an age difference, even in a happily ever after world, Daniel could spend a lot of years alone.
