brainofck | Fic Rec: Maraon, Rain

rynalwyn has written a couple of really good things. Both can be found at her fiction journal,

ryn_fic. She only has 19 entires, so don't be afraid to go on over there and poke around.

My favorite is "Maraon."

It's WIP, and she updates v. slowly. Particularly the second chapter is a lovely bit of hurt/comfort. First chapter is backstory and as I remember, was either a rape or close to it. Not overly necessary to the understanding of the story and could probably be bypassed. Plot summary for part 1: Dominic, Roman soldier and boy toy of commander of local Roman legion, runs afoul of his master, is condemned to death, escapes and is rescued by William, passing friendly Celtic person. Now, on to part 2... :)

But when over at her journal, was reminded of "Rain," a pretty good EW/DM BB/DM, though high on the angst scale. Way, way high. But well written if you like those pairings.
