Big SB/VM fic rec post

This is my SB/VM fic rec post. I wanted it in a spot where I could point people to it, rather than posting it repeatedly on [livejournal.com profile] lotrips_finders. I'm guessing that every person who has friended this journal has seen this material already. Sorry to spam your friends page.

Will start by pimping my own fic, located at brainofck. I did a yoga thing, and am starting a "gladiator" AU. Sorta. All SB/VM with some OB mixed in.

That aside, this is one of the best pairings, though I'm sorry to say that most of the below is SB/VM only. Not so much of the lovely threesome...

You must visit The Lair of the Evil Bitches. Be careful. The first thing on the site is "Shut Up," which is heavy-duty kink, d/s, bdsm. Great, if you like that kind of thing. Way too rough if you don't. Particularly good, if you're into the rough stuff, is #10, Quartet, in which Sean tops Viggo.

Further down the page, one of the absolute definitive SB/VM stories - Drinking Games. A four part series. Absolute must read if you love this pairing. Interestingly, they wrote Drinking Games as a counterbalance to Shut Up, because Shut Up gets very, very stressful and somewhat disturbing toward the end. Drinking Games is a really feel-good extended PWP. Well, not totally PWP, but almost.

Otherwise, poke around the page. Absolutely eveything on it is really good. I recommend in particular Dutch Courage and Better Late than Never.

The other two stories that I think of as "definitive" for this pairing are both by Karelian. Another Island, and the All series, particularly All Right. One is 4 parts. One is 5 parts. I think Karelian has deleted her journal, but she gave her fans permission to grab what they wanted. Let me know if you are desparate to see this stuff, and I'll get you a link.

Also, The Orange Grove, quite long, a great, gay!Viggo pines for straight!Sean story, by Cinzia and Gloria. Cinzia's stuff is all great, and on www.rugbytackling.com consider reading A Long Journey for some light, feel-good angst. Longish.

Finally, the only slash story I have ever recommended to The Husband (who hated it), Morningstar.

OMG. But The Night Must Fall a Viking AU, possibly just what you are looking for. It's kind of jumbled up, but has several parts. A Viking part and a modern day parallel. Wow. It is so amazing.

Trust, by Shriney.

Touching by Shriney, and that hairpulling fic by [livejournal.com profile] dork_elf, neither of which can write anything that isn't amazingly hot. You should check out whatever stuff the two of them have on rugbytackling (see below)

www.rugbytackling.com is the archive of the LiveJournal community [livejournal.com profile] rugbytackle. Both great sources for fics, though posting has slowed a bit recently.

And, of course, you do know Green Opals? http://d.1asphost.com/greenopals/ It's an SB archive, v. extensive. All pairings. You can browse and read to your heart's content...

Finally, Dining Experiences Scroll about half-way down.

And I'll stop now. *rolls eyes at self*

Just wanted to let you know that I have just finished reading your Arena fic. I must say that this is a wonderful story. It made me a complete fan of this pairing. Then I stumbled upon your rec stories for this pairing and can I say that I very much appreciate you? I even forayed into rugbytackling and I see that I will be there for a long while. I have yet to tackle that greenopals link. Never even thought about reading rps until now and to be honest I was usure about it. Have always heard negative things about it on other fps sites. Well I'm hooked on rps now. Well, the very least just for this pairing. Thank you for giving me a new experience. I also seen that recomended some stories of Karelian, and that her site was down, but you could help any who wanted to view her fics. Well I maybe too late in this regard, but I can't but help to ask if there is anyway I could get maybe a copy of her fics or maybe a few? Well anyhow I just thought I would say hi and just say a big thank you to you for giving me and others wonderful reading material. I will shut up now.

Don't be scared of RPS. :) I'm glad you found it and are liking it! :) This is a really awesome pairing, too. The writing tends to be top quality and the people are great. I'll e-mail you with info on Karelian's stuff.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments about Arena. It's coming back soon, I hope.

Karelian
