The Anything-You-Want-To-Know Meme

This is going around. I edited the warning at the end about thinking carefully about whether you REALLY WANT TO BE SPOILED. We're all old enough to know what spoilers mean...

Ask me a question about one of my fanfictions. It can be absolutely anything in any fic and I will tell you the honest-to-God answer. Don’t hold back. Ask about major upcoming plot points if you want to. Whatever you ask, I have to answer truthfully. [Edit: *rolls eyes at the 14-year-old mentality of the person who wrote this meme.]

I will warn you in advance if my answer contains major Spoilers and give you a chance to back out. If you then decide that you still want to hear my answer,I'll white it out and you can highlight.

Think carefully before asking a question. You might not want to have it spoiled as badly as you think you do (for that matter, I might not want to SPOIL it as badly as you want it spoiled.)

Are you ever going to go back and write the other endings to "Adjustments"? If not, how were you planning on doing them? I seem to recall that there were going to be two more.

Adjustments C, D and E Endings

[identity profile] brainofck.livejournal.com 2008-05-27 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
OK! Haha! That clearly didn't work! Trying different coding now!

I might get back to that project sometime, but I think probably not. SPOILERS FOLLOW, Obviously. Making the text white, to match the white background of my journal. Heh. If it doesn't work, I will delete the reply and try again, so don't feel like you are going crazy if you can't find this comment at some later point!

Anybody interested in the answer, highlight the "empty" space below.

Typing that up, I am reminded about what appealed about the two darker endings. Maybe I will take that up again someday. *chants* Vamipres, Remix, J/D Fic-a-thon, other projects...

OK, posting the test post!

Yay! Just so you know, the code is "font" not "text"! :D

Whee! I can't wait.

Will it make you sad if I said that I knew that? *pats on head*

Not sad at all! I rejoice in your mad coding skilz! :D I always want to put text, and it is always wrong! Why can I not learn?!

I still haven't read Skeletal Remains because of the pairings: JO/SC and JO/SC/DJ. Does it have a J/D ending? Too much SC? Will this ultimate J/D OTPer (to quote [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl), be an unhappy camper -- because of the pairings -- if I read it?

Is Skeletal Remains safe for a serious J/D shipper?

[identity profile] brainofck.livejournal.com 2008-05-27 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That might be a better question to ask [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl.

Very spoilerful answer follows. (Also, testing another method of hiding the text, so if this comment disappears, that's because it didn't work! Will re-comment immediately!)

Highlight below:

I treat Jack as being equally interested in the two of them, with possibly a slight preference for Daniel. Daniel pushes Jack towards Sam and Jack goes that way, but Sam pushes him back towards Daniel, and Jack and Daniel work things out. There is a lot of pure Jack/Daniel in the piece for a J/D shipper like yourself, but I *tried* to fight my own J/D tendencies and be even-handed among the relationships. Because there's Sam/Daniel in there, too.

There is no happing ending to Skeletal Remains. It is the character-death fic of doom. Jack and the baby are the only survivors.

I think you, as J/D shipper would find a lot to love about Skeletal Remains, because the J/D is real J/D. But there's J/S, too, and if that is just unacceptable to you, then you will not want to read it.

Some, non-graphic, J/S is acceptable, if it ends up as just J/D. But I'm also unhappy about the 'hidden' pairing you mention above, too, which isn't listed with your pairings. :(

If I do eventually read it, though, you'll be the first to know. :)

*is a wuss*

You're not a wuss! You like what you like and you don't like what you don't like! It's not like eating your spinach before your cake! It's all cake! :) And the J/S is NOT non-graphic. Nor is the Sam/Daniel. Though the Sam/Daniel is really mostly part of the threesome context. In the story, they are all they have left. I tried to make it a developing, honest threesome, with three equal partners, lovers where they used to be just friends, where under other circumstances there might never have been any romantic involvement between any of them.
