Jack/Daniel Fic-a-Thon
Had major writing delay today. It was footie related.
I *did* however, remember to sign up for The 2006 Jack/Daniel Fic-a-Thon. If you want to sign up, you have to do it by tomorrow night, 11:59pm. As you can see, I couldn't think of a good #3 to not write. I thought of a few kinks that I'd prefer not to mess with, but decided I'd view it as a writing challenge, if they showed up, and they probably won't, because they're gross and nobody really wants them anyway, ha.

And by no evil!J/D you even rule out AU evil alternates? I've decided just about every request can be accomodated in crack!fic. My only squick is Sam/Jack. :-)

Yeah, unfortunately not only do most people not want to write mpreg, genderswitch, etc., they don't want it in their request, either. *pouts* These are some of the best writers in the fandom -- I know they could do it brilliantly if they tried. *sigh* I should have requested mpreg just to make everyone run screaming. :-D

However perhaps our cracky little SG clique should do a mini challenge -- sometime after CK's baby's born and the J/D ficathon's over... Something like: SG Squickathon -- each participant offers a list of five taboo/badfic/cliche things to choose from (mpreg, non-con, kidfic, Mary Sue, wedding, etc.). Names are drawn from a hat. The challenge is to write an SG fic for the person you drew incorporating two of the five things. And to try to make a good fic out of it -- really making it real emotionally, or writing hilarious bad!fic/crack!fic, or...

Alas, it was not Beanie goofing around with his soon to be promoted boys. Just the whatever cup was being played yesterday - Man U v. Chelsea. It came on at 7:30 and Husband was up to watch.
I am not going to write a story where the real Jack or Daniel is evil. So there. The Absolute Power AUs tend to seriously creep me out. Though when they do the mirror thing, and the "real" Daniel or Jack still exists, the evil! AU character doesn't bother me as much.

I'd just really prefer not to have to come up with some sort of plan for something like, I dunno, scat play. That's what I meant when I said gross.

Oh yeah, I remember. :-) I put in the disclaimer just because I would write anything (even Sam/Jack *evil grin*), but to be able to work with something I don't like, I would mock it to pieces or otherwise twist it in a way that somebody who requested it wouldn't be happy with.
(And yeah, my brain went to corporophilia, too, and I just wasn't going to type it!)
