I found this by a chain of friendsfriends LOTR memories -- it's very interesting, and while I like the smut, I'm most interested in the cultural confusion (Sharpe is so a fish out of water) and the language difficulties which you are conveying nicely. I hope your still playing with it, because I'd love to see more.
Aragorn really doesn't seem the kind who'd know how to deal with Sharpe, who is much cannier and bad-tempered, and does *not* act as if he knows he's in an epic story. And Sharpe certainly would be bewildered by Middle-Earth and especially any kindness shown him -- he tends to be suspicious of such and bite first.
